Film comparisons
Compares film to digital and to two kinds of camera scanning.
The first four pairs are the same scene, shot once on a digital Canon 60D + 17-55mm f/2.8 lens and again on a Canon Elan + 40mm pancake lens. The negatives were camera scanned on the 60D and the PhotoShop was used for inversion and color compensation.
The next five pairs (starting with the red flower) are from the same negative. The comparison is between camera scanning on an 18 megapixel Canon 60D and on a 12 megapixel Canon G9.
These images have been resized to be 2400 pixels on the longest side. This should be enough resolution to compare. Hint: hover over the picture and click on "Original" This will display them at the highest resolution. You can use the right/left arrow keys to move from image to image. Up/Down arrow to scroll vertically. Or use the slideshow to get a rough idea of resolution (if your screen is at least two megapixels.)
